Brad Ziegler tothe Arizona Diamondbacksahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. non-waiver deadline http://www.marinersfanproshop.com/authentic-edgar-martinez-jersey , USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported. The 38-year-old is1-5 with a3.98 ERA and 1.269 WHIPthis season. He's recorded10saves but was replaced byKyle Barraclough as the Marlins' closer.Ziegler also spent six years with the Diamondbacks from 2011 to 2016 and had a2.49 ERA in 348 appearances. The veteran righty is in the final year of a contract that's paying him $9 million in 2018. He struggled to start the 2018 season, but he has allowed just three earned runs in 29 appearances between June and July. The Diamondbacks will hope that trend continues during the stretch run.Earlier this year, Ziegler began making an adjustment to his delivery in hopes of seeing better performance. He's been nearly lights out ever since, lowering his ERA more than three runs since the beginning of June. The return to form led to trade rumors with the Marlins well out of the playoff picture and Ziegler nearing the end of his career."I have no control over it, so you know, if it happens it happens," Ziegler said Jay Buhner Jersey , per Mike Persakof the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "If not, I鈥檓 happy here. I like the guys here. I think we're starting to do something really good here, and I like being part of the beginning of it."Ziegler won't be under much pressure inArizona. It will likely look to him for some seventh- and eighth-inning work and didn't give up an elite prospect. As they make an attempt for a pennant push, though, adding Ziegler will likely be a boost for the Diamondbacks if he can keep up his recent strong performances. The second baseman gets his first start of 2019, and he’ll hit leadoff."The Red Sox take on the Twins for their game on Thursday, and there’s a pretty big name at the very top of their lineup. Dustin Pedroia Denard Span Jersey , who played all of three games in 2018, is going to be hitting leadoff for the Red Sox for his first game of 2019. After sitting out essentially all of last year, nobody really knows what to expect from the former MVP in the coming year. We’re not going to learn much in spring training, let alone in his first game of spring training, but it will still be nice to see him back on the field. Even if he’s in the same neighborhood as what he was before getting hurt, the Red Sox will be better off at second base than they were for most of last year. Joining Pedroia in the lineup will be a whole lot of other regulars. In fact, the top seven should all be Opening Day starters http://www.marinersfanproshop.com/authentic-edgar-martinez-jersey , though Mitch Moreland could be subbed out for Steve Pearce. The two differences are that Brock Holt will be in left field with Andrew Benintendi getting the day off, and Blake Swihart starts behind the plate. Brian Johnson gets the start for Boston. Here are the full lineups:Red Sox at Twins, 3/22Lineup SpotRed SoxTwinsLineup SpotRed SoxTwinsThursday’s game will be Boston’s second consecutive contest aired on ESPN.
